The design of the house is the main work of the architect.
Designing a home within a Building apartment is the most common condition.
As a tailor, the architect has to fit a common apartment like a glove to who will live in house. Here he will find his shell, his protection ... the spatial extent of his being. Demolition and reconstruction (within the limits allowed by the current conditions), the introduction of new geometries and the new organization of spaces are useful to materialize the new functional program (agreed with the client). The apartment (standard section of a building) becomes a unique and original. For the designer the highest aspiration is those who live these spaces will be able to say "I feel at home."
